Taylor Stockton- P.E., Director, Engineering

Taylor specializes in research and development of water treatment technologies and is involved from concept creation to field trial execution. Prior to joining Puralytics in 2015, Taylor worked for 8 years as a civil/mechanical engineer for the international consulting firm Black & Veatch providing project coordination and design work on municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater projects. Taylor brings practicality to projects due to 3 years of experience in construction management and manufacturing engineering. He holds a MS in Environmental Engineering and Science from Johns Hopkins University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon Institute of Technology. He is a licensed professional civil engineer in the state of Oregon.


Bruce Leak- Director

Bruce is a Co-Founder at Playground Global, LLC and serves as Managing Director of Playground Ventures, L.P.  In more than three decades of tech industry experience, Bruce has made his mark as an engineer, entrepreneur, and investor. He is best known for his groundbreaking work in multimedia, as creator of QuickTime and co-founder of WebTV. As Chief Operating Officer at WebTV, Bruce was instrumental in the development and deployment of the world’s first consumer Internet appliance and service and was responsible for the growth and management of the business in excess of one million customers and $300 million in revenue. Prior to WebTV, Mr. Leak served senior management and engineering roles at Rocket Science Games and General Magic Inc. He began his career at Apple Computer, where he invented and brought to market QuickTime and 32-bit QuickDraw. He holds several technology patents. As an Angel investor, Mr. Leak has had five public exits from seed investments including: Danger (Microsoft), Android (Google), and Nest (Google). Mr. Leak is a graduate of Stanford University with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in electrical engineering.


Mark Owen- Director

Prior to founding Puralytics, Mr. Owen was the founder and CEO of Phoseon Technology, the world leader in UV LED photo-curing systems to the inks, coatings, and adhesives industry, growing the company to market leadership and remaining involved as a Director for 11 years.Mark has also held business development, marketing, and engineering management roles at Agilent Technologies, Electro Scientific Industries, and Tektronix.  He has over 50 patents issued or pending, has published over 50 technical articles, and more than $1B in revenues have been derived from products involving his patents. Mr. Owen holds a Masters in Advanced Manufacturing Technology from the University of Limerick, Ireland and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree from Oregon State University. Mark was elected as a Pivotal Leader in the NW Cleantech community in 2012, and inducted to the OSU Engineering Hall of Fame in 2015.
